Don't Operate Your Business Without Insurance

All businesses should have insurance. Whether you want to protect your business property or not, you should at least carry General Liability coverage.

General Liability coverage helps protect you in the event of a lawsuit. Without carrying insurance you run the risk of jeopardizing your personal assets if you cause bodily injury or property damage in the course of your work. Chances are, your personal homeowner’s insurance will not respond to a business related incident.

If you are a contractor, your liability insurance will probably cost at least $1000 per year. If you have a home-based business, coverage is available for as little as about $200 per year.

Contact your insurance agent for more details on what is available, and what you need to protect yourself.
