Hardy Boys Mysteries by Franklin W. Dixon
My son, who likes anything with a bit of mystery and suspense, has recently become interested in the old Hardy Boys Mysteries by Franklin W. Dixon. We re-discovered this series at the Billerica Public Library, where they seem to have an entire set (and some in duplicate). My 7-year-old son was looking for 'scary' books, and I showed him the series of mysteries. He cannot read them to himself yet, but together we have read two so far: What Happened at Midnight and Danger on the Vampire Trail. While these books were written more than sixty years ago, and the television series was popular 'way back' when we were kids, the stories are exciting enough to span the decades and entertain a whole new group of adventure-loving kids!
