Make People Happy – Send a Gift!

We all have such busy and interesting lives now, that we are sure to have close friends and family who we just don't see as much as we'd like. Birthdays and other events come and go, and we don't get together to exchange gifts.

Most people love to get a package in the mail! Even if it is just a small trinket, the idea of receiving a gift in the mail is just wonderful. In particular, children LOVE to receive gifts by mail.

I've discovered that it is not that expensive to mail a gift. Of course, you have to put some thought into the type of gift you will be mailing. To keep things simple, and inexpensive, choose something fairly light weight, that can fit in a padded mailing envelope. You can buy these envelopes in various sizes at Staples for not much money (maybe five dollars for a five-pack). I have mailed books to friends' children, underwear to my potty-training niece, and a dog-leash back to a friend who left it behind at my house! The mailing usually costs only a few dollars, and even when sent by first-class (aka regular) mail, it usually gets there in a day or two.

If you don't want to go out shopping or to the post office, there are many ways you can send a gift anyway. For example, FTD some flowers, that's always a welcome treat! Order from a catalog, and have them ship directly to the recipient, or do the same by ordering online. Many companies offer great gift ideas that can be ordered by phone or online and shipped to you or to the person of your choice.
